How is your team doing thus far?
I think the biggest improvement for my home team Jets is coach Maurice, as the team is buying in big time to
a team defense first system. The good news, only 60 goals allowed, the bad, only 61 scored! Suddenly our goalies
are "not" the problem...and with 14 wins we are in 8th, but the Canucks, in first, have 17, so who knows, there is a lot
of parody in the league.
It is fun that we have a chance to win every game, but the NJ style of hockey is a snooze fest. So it goes in today's NHL I guess.
As for my #1 team, the Bruin's, BOOOOOO!!!! 7th in the east, yeah Krejci has been out, and the big man, Chara out, but still, the lack of scoring
and speed is ridiculous. HNIC reported they are looking for a Big Body forward...WTH???? Just what they need, another Big, slow, plumber...
They talk a lot about the Bruin's "type of player"...and Tyler Seguin did NOT fit that mold, ie too small and not physical but who cares! He is Very Fast, Skilled and can Score, Exactly what they NEED!!!!! Worst trade in History! @#$%
They remind me a bit of the late 70's B's, super hard-working, but Too slow and couldn't score enough. Marchand the smurf leads the team with....6 goals! Wow they STINK, and so does their inflexible philosophy on what type of player's they like.
So, how do you like your team?

Well after a crazy hot start that had us sitting on top of the NHL rankings, we've lost five of six and people are getting restless. Especially with that two in a row to the Sabres.
The ongoing strategy of "let Price stop everything and maybe we can score a couple here and there in the third period" is insufficient to long-term success.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Blackhawks started out kind of shakey, but are on a roll now. First in the central, 9-1 in the last ten and 6 wins in a row.
Patrick Sharp has been out for the last month and might return on Tuesday .vs the Devils. Corey Crawford is out for the second time this year (3-5 weeks). Raanta has played well and Darling has been a big surprise. Trevor Van Rymsdyk was played really good until he took a puck to the knee. He will probably be gone till the spring.
So far the season is looking good

The Isles are still playing well (with the exception of yesterday) even without 3 of the NHL-caliber defensemen. Once everyone is 100% they'll be at full steam and good to go. The NHL rankings refuse to accept this and still have them out of the top-5 no matter how well they play. Brock Nelson has proven the sophmore slump wrong in every way and its great.

Man, that game on Friday night was awesome. Give me a Cup Finals series with these two teams, please.
I like Chicago - may have to make them "my West team." Haha

Last night's game against the Leafs notwithstanding, I don't think anyone on earth would have pegged the Canucks to be 18-8-1 at this point. Sure, they've feasted on the Oilers four times but they've also beaten the Hawks and Pens and Habs and Ducks. A new GM with a proven scouting record and a new coach who believes in rolling all four lines, along with trading away the negative elements (haha) and look at that eh????

Wings are playing like they're back in the West again. Up 3-1 after 2 tonight and with a win will be tied for first with the Bolts for the Division and Conference and 2 points out of first in the League.
Datsyuk with one of his strongest starts to a season ever, Z looking like he did years ago having a great season, Nyquist and Tatar have been scoring and proving themselves nicely, Sheahan Abbdelkader and Helm have all been playing great and Weiss is finally healthy and living up to his contract. No real D other than Kronwall and Dekeyser, D is about our only downside. Howard has been fantastic on about 80% of his starts, still struggles heavily in shootouts.
So all in all the Wings are right where you'd expect them be.
