Got a real nice return back today- Frank Gifford

    (2) 8x12 pictures. This guy is great. I asked for the color photo to be signed in silver, if possible, and he did. Asked for any combo of 4 inscriptions to be added, and he did all 4 on each. Very happy to add these to my NY Giants collection.

Thanks!! I love both, but the color photo is a real nice looking photo.

I may have gotten more lucky then I originally thought getting these back. Maybe he really liked the letter I wrote him? I saw someone got a failure back from him last week in the tracker saying he wants 20.00 to sign, and he only personalizes. It was sent to same address as mine. I sent his old 5.00 per autograph donation price.

    Got another 8x10 return today.....

NY Giants Owner - John Mara

Requested in my letter to him in a almost joking way that if Co-Owner Steve Tisch or Coach Tom Coughlin just happen to be around when signing to please have them sign as well. I figured Steve Tisch would have been the more likely of the 2, but my choice would be Tom Coughlin first, and that is who I got. Awesome extra surprise. Great adds for my Giants collection.

This is my favorite thread to check for returns.

What are you using to hold the pics on the cardboard?

Thanks Justin. Still very surprised he added all the inscriptions I requested on both pics.

Thank You. Started doing TTM in July of this year, and I have received back some great items to add to my collection. Been collecting since 1985, and I wish I would have been doing TTM years ago while some more HOF players were still around and/ or still signing thru the mail.

I use archival photo mounting corners. Picked up a pack of 250+ corners on Amazon. I also put very small pieces of blue painters tape on each side of the pic to make sure it stays on.

I started March of this year, so I'm new to it too and wish I started earlier as well. I've been doing 8x10's exclusively and use rigid photo mailers. My photos rarely come back in the same condition I sent them, but they usually don't get too dinged up. How has your method worked out when it comes to protecting the photo? Who do you use to print your photos?

I mount them to the cardboard, sometimes even to 2 pieces to make it extra sturdy. I then put the mounted photo in a file folder. I used poly bubble mailers for the shipping to and from. I do write Please do not bend on all the poly mailers. With the cardboard and the please do not bend, I do pay a higher shipping rate cause the envelope cant be bent. I get charged the first class parcel rate. I dont mind paying higher shipping, if it gets me the pics back in better shape. I cant really complain about how the pics get back to me. I had one or two that the cardboard gave out a bit, and the photo bent a bit, but it wasnt bad enough that I couldnt roll it out to flatten it. But this is why I sometimes double cardboard the photos now a days, which does increase shipping.
