Not to play debbi downer on here but after watching a few box breaks and a couple case breaks almost every patch/auto has some form of damage to the corners or edging. There seems to be only one or two multi color breaks in the patches per case. At over $100 a box seems a bit pricey for what you get out of the box. I'll hopefully pick up Sam Reinhart singles and save the frustration of crappy boxes.

Yeah I was in on 4 case breaks and the best cards were a couple greens /10 of Sproul and some other weak prospect with one colour patches. One case the best card was a Hishon blue /50. Seriously?

I get that the mock ups/previews are supposed to get people excited but this stuff is really bad.

Event worn dual jersey rookie card (no-auto) as a 1:240 packs? A worthless card and not even that cool being event worn, but still hard to hit if you're busting. It's like they hate giving collectors value.

Why can't they give sweet patches on /10 cards? They're just "event worn". Those cost a lot less than gamers. The "Grand Finale" cards? A gold parallel /50 as the lowest #'d parallel in the set that looks exactly like the retro just gold?

Then there's the issue of Redemptions. Kuznetsov is a shadow box auto redemption. Duclair is a redemption. Most of Drouin. Saw others but can't remember them (maybe Gaudreau too?).

"well we haven't come close to finishing the product, but just send it out anyway".

How in the world is this stuff $120 a box? It's really shocking IMO.

I might check out breaks of Ice, but so far UD isn't even trying this year which is a real shame.

$150 a box at the LCS...

Very rushed products as cards have been taken off the checklist. ..not too mention ugly cards...that belong a decade ago...

ICE at least has some potential. ..

    Oh well...more money for singles...

I see people on ebay are even getting smarter...no one wants this stuff even the first week...

I think I'll buy a box of select basketball. ...looks good and on card autos. ..

If your banking on ICE being a good product then your in for a shock. Ice has always been weak. 1 auto and 2 GU 4 rookies (That's what it used to be not sure about this year) Unless you hit the RC /99 or Patch Auto /10 then its not going to be much better if any than SPX.

SPX is pathetic and has been for a while. The only good things are the SPX RC Auto Jersey and the shadowbox autos. With a weak rookie class its hard for products to be successful. Without a star or top rookie its even harder to drive the product.

SPX has been the same for years and yet people keep buying it and joining GB's then complain. Did you expect to get 5 Auto RC Jerseys a box or a Patch Auto rookie in every box?

SPX has been the same for years. You know what your getting every year, why would you expect something different????

Ice is a hit or a miss product. OPC or Series 1/2 are way to go if you want decent hits every time.

Problem is a lot of people have deep pockets and want something more than S1 and S2. I don't think SPx is the way to go. I don't like SPGU for the same reason but there are a lot of people that swear by SPGU just like SPx and of course as rookies go SPA is the next tier after S1 and S2. The Cup is the upper echelon of products.

I am hoping UD Masterpieces will be nice. I can't remember how much 08-09 was upon release or if this one will be comparable. Come to think of it I don't even remember seeing a box of UD Masterpieces around in the last 4 years (though I haven't actively looked).

Haven't broken any Upper Deck in a while but I wouldn't turn to SPx to get my fix. Despite the negative reviews so far I've seen some good breaks and quite a few great cards. Let's face it, there wouldn't be any singles for us to buy if no one busted wax!
