29th guarantees you anyone except Eichel or McDavid. Bottom 14 teams are in the lottery, one team is drawn.... and that team gets 1st pick.
If you're 29th, and a team below you wins the lotto..... you pick 3rd.

Big two points from Arizona (a win over Vancouver) last night so they're now 3 up on the Oilers.
Oilers in Chicago tonight, and Buffalo visits the red-hot Ottawa Senators.

Thanks for the clarification on that one. For some reason it never clicked in for me what happens if you get #30 overall and don't win the lotto as far as positioning goes. It only makes sense what you're saying. Haha
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Next year it will become even tougher to "tank".
They will draw for the top three spots, rather than just #1..... so you could finish last overall, and only pick 4th.
I'd like to see them draw for everything in the top 14. Still weight it so the lower you finish, the better chance you have of winning, but make it possible for last place to pick 14th. You could make a much bigger production out of the whole draft, bring in celebrity bingo callers, it could be pretty awesome.

Love this time of the year, big meaningful games galore! Watching the Flyers vs. Bs game right now and for once, I am rooting for the Philadelphia outfit...who would have thought lol

Habs with the shutout victory - great to see them close out the dastardly road trip with a win.
But of course the Bruins won, and then so did Tampa. Blah.
