Disagree with you there. Remember this happened in South Klanolina. I guarantee this guy would walk without the video. That is why most police departments are fighting tooth and nail against body cameras.

That really ticks me off. If anyone one of us who is not in law enforcement committed a crime and went to prison we would have to live among all the other common criminals and would not get any special treatment because of our occupation. I hate how cops can commit crimes and get special perks and privileges for betraying their badges and the communities that they were sworn to serve and protect. To be honest they should actually get a more severe punishment that the average Joe on the street because their are a traitor and a traitor is indeed worthy of death. Remember police don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

The public will never respect the police until they earn the public's respect.

I don't want them getting hurt but it's a risk that comes with the job they volunteered for. That's like saying firemen shouldn't go into a burning building because they might get hurt or die.

I'm not losing a bit of sleep over it. Feel free to travel the country looking for strangers to fight. I'm sure one day you will find a suitor.

fair, but I would add who all is "volunteering" to the job? Low pay, little reward, lack of training, lack of support, lack of tools needed, and the chance you could die or have to kill someone everyday, is a job I would not want.
Our police forces need to have the amount of training and access to equipment like the Navy Seals, with much better pay.
Remember this happened in South Klanolina. I guarantee this guy would walk without the video. That is why most police departments are fighting tooth and nail against body cameras.
so anyone white male in South Carolina is a racist or just any cop? This guy would not have "walked" without a video, though he may not be in jail facing murder charges as quick as he did.
the only issue I have seen police departments have with body cameras is the training, equipment, and funding needed to have and use them.
