Round 1: Anaheim Ducks vs Winnipeg Jets Discussion Thread
For the first time since returning to the NHL, the Jets will be in the post-season! This promises to be a high-flying (wow that's bad) affair as the Western Conference-leading Ducks will take on the #2 wild card team.

Anaheim won the season series 3-0, but they haven't squared off since January, and both teams have undergone significant roster changes since then.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

What a feel good story these Jets are. Glad for them and their fans and the city of Winnipeg. But the Ducks are just too good. Ducks in 4.

I'm going to give Pavelec the credit he deserves. Other than Hammond in Ottawa is there a hotter goalie in hockey right now? I do agree with RGM 81, lots has changed in Winnipeg. I'm predicting an upset here ... Jets in 7.

Helluva first game! Wow, but ultimately the jets taking bad penalties at crucial times is what cost them. The ducks first line came to play though. Gotta give them credit.

Very surprised to see that Byfuglien did not get a suspension for his 'cheap shot' to the back of Perry's head, really won't matter anyhow as this series is as good as over!

Easy come, easy go. I think that most of us would have said the Ducks in this series, but in 4?! Wow. They were opportunistic and they took advantage of their experience and the late-period collapses of the Jets. If a period was 18 minutes long, the Jets would still be in this.

Just a quick note on our Bracket Challenge league on NHL.com - 8 of our 14 participants picked the Ducks to win, but none of us took the sweep.
