Habs, you know so much about our political system, maybe you should come be a politician! or maybe you should be more concerned with your own countries affairs.

It's country's, not countries. It might surprise you, but the human brain is capable of knowing a lot and being concerned about, MANY countries. You might want to try that out sometime. It might give you a better perspective on life.

Grammar nazi I see. Try being as educated about this subject as you are about apostrophies (did that on purpose) and you might sound smarter.

Too funny. More vague references to errors in my opinion. You are no better than the rest on here. Get to the specifics. Prove my ignorance, if you can.

    I'll wait.

You've proven it many times yourself. Go through and look at your responses, its extremely clear. Oh wait, you think that the OP is correct, so you won't understand. Must be nice to have your head in the sand.

This is all I can think about when I hear how great the economy or the unemployment rate is.

You do realize how weak your statements look when you can't back them up? I hope you do.

Jay - I don't know where Duane got the number from. Perhaps he can post a link and then we will know. When you search many of the stats for "welfare", welfare encompasses many of the different benefits which leads to another issue. Many people on food stamps for example work. Employment insurance is included in the "welfare" numbers. As well as old age security. That's how we get to the infamous Romney quote of 47%.

Regardless, the discussion was about the "job participation rate" and it's decline. I posted a credible link, with credible numbers on it. All Duane could retort was that it was BS. He didn't bother to explain what was BS. He just dismissed it outright. It's hard to respond to vague claims. Then he follows it up with stats that don't even include the demographic which my link claims is a major cause of the decline.

First, I said a lot more about it that just it was BS, but apparently once you read the first sentence you lost the ability to read and missed the rest. God knows you have ignored everything else I said.

Second, if you really need me to post links to the data that is easily available with a Google search then you need more help than I can give you.

So you think the economy is "good"? Ask the students who have graduated from college recently, or who are going to graduate soon, and cannot find a job and are $30,000 in debt because of student loans. You think the real estate bubble that burst back in 2007 was bad? Wait until the student debt bubble bursts.
