I'm amazed the Caps didn't score in the last 8 minutes last night. It was all Caps pressure relentlessly for the final part of that game.

    Lundqvist is a monster.

    Penalty on Sheppard = BS

That being said as I see the discussion above about calls, the officiating is downright brutal in this series, and the playoffs as a whole

I hope it's not the same refs come Wednesday.

I want the same ref's on Wednesday night, they owe the Rangers a call. I think that penalty actually helped the Rangers as the Caps had more pressure before the penalty, after the call they didn't get another shot on goal.

If the refs "owe" anyone a few calls, it's the Caps.

Game 5: Disallowed goal is a good goal.
Game 6: Nash scores on botched icing call.

Yes, the delay of game on Sheppard was bull. But that's not the same as taking a goal off the scoreboard or messing up a "simple" call (this is icing, not a offsides-by-a-hair call like the TBL-MTL) that directly causes the goal. I'm curious as to how game 7 will be called. It'll either be feast or famine penalty wise.

Since the game is in the Garden I expect the Rangers to get at least one home advantage call.

My wife's hair is two feet long, so you're not wrong. But if a guy is offside by two feet that should be an easy call for an NHL official in a playoffs game.

So Ovechkin has guaranteed a win, big deal he is in a no lose situation, he has never made it to the conference finals and even if they lose his guarantee will be forgotten. When Messier guaranteed a win against the Devils in 93/94 it held a lot more weight as he had already won several Stanley Cups and it was what his team needed. Remember it is only the 2nd round and even if they win they still have to get by the Tampa Bay Lightning which I think will be a pretty hard task.
