Big price to pay but wow he's going to flourish under Hartley.

    Boston now has #14 & #15 picks.

Deal kiboshes my idea of the Flames taking hometown boy Nick Merkley.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

    Yup.... 15th, 45th, 52nd.

I dunno that it's all that big of a price......

While I think Buffalo got fleeced by the Senators earlier today (no way Lehner is worth a pick in the top 30, and Legwand adds negative value to the deal) it's not because I think mid-late first round picks are all that great. I just don't think Robin Lehner is worth all that much.

Dougie Hamilton though? He's 22, was the 9th overall pick 3 years ago.... and Boston is getting a bunch of magic beans for who might have been their best dman by next season.

Bruins, made the deal, for the picks, because they can't take on anymore salary, that's why they traded Soderberg
for a 6th round pick to the Av's and then the Av's signed Soderberg to a 4 year contract.

WT...Good thing they got rid of Boychuk...What are they doing? Guess they like to dump young or future all-stars, Seguin, now Hamilton...well they got old man Chara, yippee!

I think Chara is gone too, no one to blame but the new General Manager of the Oilers, he gave huge contracts out like candy bar's.

Forgot about Soderberg, relatively young also, not that huge a talent but yeesh, they had 7.5 to spend on Hamilton, so I dunno what they are thinking....

Boston got hammered on that deal.... apparently a ton of GMs didn't even know Hamilton was aggressively being shopped around.

Another salary dump, but the Bruins have to pick up 2.7 M of his 6 M contract.

Anyone have any idea what the Bruins are trying to do?
