Interesting that the Base Set is now 200 instead of 300 like 14-15.
No Stempniak, Clutterbuck, or Stastny at all in this for me

I'm sure the checklist was finalized prior to him being bought out. Chill out, it's a low-end product.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I could use some 'chillin', it feels like 38c here in Ottawa
I know it's a low-end product but there's no reason to 1/2 @ss it for those that collect it. It's also a well known fact that lots of movement happens in between the draft and the start of UFA (July 1st). They should use that day to finalize their checklist IMHO...that is all.

Well that's just it - it's not really half-baked at all. Parenteau was bought out on June 29th. That's exactly a month ago. If they're posting the final checklist that means everything is likely now off the printing lines. The design and production teams had probably gone through their process of designing checklist, player selection, photo selection, etc. by the time of the buyout. Too late to do anything at this point without a production delay...and my guess is that they weren't super keen on doing that on the behest of PA Parenteau. Who knows, maybe we'll see a transaction notice on the card like we did in the old days. Probably not, though.
Now, it does all beg the question as to why they would have bothered with Parenteau in the first place. By the end of the season he was in the coach's dog house and not really much of a fan favourite. Do they go with a potentially more popular player from another team? Add in a deadline acquisition like Torrey Mitchell or Jeff Petry for their first cards in Habs colours?
I am with you on the idea of Parenteau's inclusion in the first place, but once the decision is made that he's in, there's not really any other option but to put him with his most recent team.
