Panini Hockey Redemptions Are Getting Less and Less...
I don't know if anyone else follows Panini's Knight's Lance Blog and the weekly redemption update, but I have noticed that there are fewer and fewer hockey cards showing up on the "returned" spreadsheets.
Have players gotten to the point where it's been over a year since Panini had the license, so if they still have cards to sign... oh well?
I hope not. I still have five redemptions out there, although considering who I am waiting for, if eBay is any indication, I might not get them anyway. And I still buy a lot of Panini hockey boxes. It is great that they are still honoring the redemptions, but after a while, if might not matter, if they still have a lot of outstanding cards that were never returned.
It might be time for me to really consider replacements, just to get something for my redemptions.

Just put my request in today, process was super simple, took less than 5 minutes.

I think in these circumstances it's more about the player than the card company. Guys rarely sign stuff during the summer. It's their one little bit of "vacation" during the year so they take some time away from it all.
Hopefully your guy signs his stuff when he arrives at camp and gets them back.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I am just about ready to move on a few outstanding redemptions.
I posted before asking if one Ryan signs, but the other Ryan I am waiting for, Ryan Callahan, hasn't appeared to sign any cards since his rookie year. This is from 2011 Contenders.
Phil Esposito still hasn't signed a 2011/12 Classics Signatures Originals.
Mark Pysyk hasn't signed since 13/14, but with his upcoming NHL promotion this season, maybe that will change. But will he sign the outstanding stuff is the question.
Johan Larsson is similar to Pysyk, except he may not be in the NHL this season, or not with the Sabres. I traded in one of his redemptions at the Expo for an instant Panini redemption and the card I "traded" still hasn't gone live, so no regrets there.
I hate to get replacements, especially since I held out for the 13/14 Tarasenko/Hertl Dual Signatures (which I finally got yesterday and a snafu at Panini). If I can get something Decent for the Contender Match-ups booklet with Ryan Callahan and Espo, I may do it just to move on.

What Pysyk are you waiting on? Seems most of his stuff is live, as is Larsson's. And I think Pysyk had an auto in 14-15 UD Fleer Ultra but I could be wrong. Maybe it was just left over stickers though. Same with Larsson in 14-15 Artifacts.
scottkoz20 was pretty deep into the Classics set and he was pretty positive that you'll never see that Esposito. Not sure about Callahan though

I was told by Panini that Esposito refused to sign so that card will not be sent out. I know Tarasenko sign for Panini it might be Hertl hat is still holding out.

I am waiting on 13/14 Contenders Rookie Tickets for both Pysyk and Larsson. I haven't seen either live yet, but I did see the Pysyk Artifacts, but thought it was probably a sticker.
Tarasenko was the hold up, but he finally signed and returned the card in two batches a month or more ago. I redeemed this card with another card and I think it got lost in the system. I did a online General Inquiry on Panini's website and they pulled and sent the card the next day!
On the Esposito, yeah, I remember reading that in another thread. Around the same time, it was said that Tarasenko wasn't signing either. I really wanted Tarasenko though, so I stayed patient and the card finally came through.
I would love the Pysyk and Larsson for the Sabres PC, but I have other auto rookie cards from both of them. With the Esposito being an Originals, I am not tied to that card either.
It will be interesting to see if the hockey card returns pick up once the season if over with.

Ahhh oh. I was going to say it's because they are hard signed, but both Pysyk & Larsson both have hard signed cards in National Treasures. Maybe those Contenders Autos weren't made or never got returned, I would give them a call

So, I'm waiting on:
- 11/12 Contenders Original Six booklet with Callahan, so I'm guessing he's the hold-up there
- Larsson Dominion Auto Patch /99
- Tinordi Dominion Gold ARP, which I think I saw on another thread won't get produced
- JT Miller Playbook rookie
- 13/14 Contenders Drew Shore
Anyone know about the Miller or the Shore? Both in for over a year.
