any good stories striking out at in person autos?
I struck out today trying for Tim Browns auto at a speaking event at Notre dame. He said he wasn't signing today I did get a quick pic of me moving my sons stroller out of his way so he could get to the stage though!

I went to a signing one time for Brandon Phillips and it was a free signing so it was swamped. I got there three hours before the signing started and there was still about 200 people ahead of me. Brandon got there about a half an hour late and started signing right away. It took about an hour and a half and I was 20 or so people from the front. He then had to leave because of another engagement. So all in all about 5 hours in line and no auto. I have since got his auto but that's the longest I have ever waited and struck out.

to the above: BP is a good signer and a good guy, not sure why the hate. The guy who didn't get him above sounds like just a bad situation.
my thread has 1300 posts or so, including many miss stories. I will try to think of anything in particular that sticks out. Probably when I was waiting for Nolan Ryan to sign and a rangers coach came by and signed for the guy next to me, and I didn't get him because I didn't recognize him... and it was Greg MAddux.

A couple years ago I had a situation where I didn't get Joe Namath who attended a ST game between the Rays vs Marlins at RDS in Jupiter. Joe Maddon (a big fan of Joe) had invited him to the game for a visit with the team. Joe signed a good amount of large pics and jerseys inside the stadium. I waited just outside the area where I knew he would come out and there were only like 3 of us. Since I wasn't expecting him to really be there, all I had was a romlb so I asked him to sign it. He said sorry but my fingers hurt and I have a hard time trying to sign a baseball. He did sign the pics the other guys had. Although I was disappointed, I totally understood and he was certainly nice about it. LOL, I was so shocked to see him in front of me and talking to me that I totally forgot about trying to get a nice selfie with him which would have been a nice digital autograph. Since Namath lives only a few miles away from RDS, I now carry several Namath pics, cards and a jersey during every ST trip I make there!

I went to a game in 2013 for my birthday and in 2013, it was matt harvey's rookie year and he signed in person then i dont think he signs anymore. He signed for a whole bunch of people and he had only a few more people until he got to me, just then, some guy comes and tells him he has to greet some family on the field, and he left and never returned. My goal is to get his autograph but i think he no longer signs at games.

At an Angels-White Sox game in Chicago, Mike Trout was signing down the side pregame as usual. He takes my ball, signs it, and in all the madness, hands the ball to different person. I couldn't track down the person who took it and ended up losing the ball and a Trout autograph. Still haven't gotten Trout since then...
