    2016 USPS rate increases

    - 1st class International mail is going to go up 21 %.. Which means a 1 oz package to Canada will be approx 8.50 now.
    - Domestic Priority Mail up 10%
    - Flat rate boxes will be 6.80 , 13.45 and 18.75 now
    - First class mail will go up 13%

    And that's why you print postage online through PayPal or stamps.com so you can use the large envelope option for $2.38 rather than being forced to use the 'package' option at a ridiculous price.

    Knowing the USPS, probably. Time to buy first class stamps now before they increase.

    I wish that was true for this area. Every time I use the large envelope stamp method the Post Master Rejects and classifies it as Parcel, even when the package is less than 2oz and meets the thickness requirements. Looks like shipments to Canada will slow again.

    And that's why you print postage online through PayPal or stamps.com so you can use the large envelope option for $2.38 rather than being forced to use the 'package' option at a ridiculous price.

    Buy a large amount of the $2.38 large envelope stamps from the USPS automated machines and mail from home. I do it all the time when I mail single cards in a bubble mailer/pwe shipping.

    I just shipped a bubble mailer with One touch in it for around $3...to U.S.

    Not that bad.
