    Question about 2015-16 Parkhurst

    Hi everyone.

    I am looking for help.

I am wondering where I can find a checklist of cards for the 2015-16 Parkhurst set.

Also, I notice that a couple packs are included in 2015-16 Upper Deck boxes. Is this set a stand-alone set, or is it now sort of an insert set?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Tony

The Parkhursts this year seem to be a 30-card rookie set (10 cards with 2 parallels apiece) that were in the Blaster Boxes and the Toronto Expo Priority Signings redemptions.

The checklist can be found in the SCF inventory! --------------

Thanks. Are these cards considered true rookie cards though? Or is this sort of like the Upper Deck rookie class set? They have rookie in the name but are not actually true rookies.

I was offered an entire 2015-16 Parkhurst set for my graded Marcel Dionne.

If the parkhurst cards aren't true rookies and are more or less "inserts" as such, I have no interest in them.

I'm pretty sure that it is an insert set since it isn't sold as a stand alone product.

    Tony,

If you're talking about the Green Parkhurst set (10 cards) you can buy one for about $40. I would think the Dionne is worth more than that

I feel the Dionne is worth more than $40. I am actually pleased to have that card in any condition, considering the age. I would never afford a higher grade LOL

    Agree 100%

All I'm saying: I wouldn't even consider moving that Dionne for a Parkhurst set.

The Dionne is worth more now than the Parkhurst set and in the long run will still be worth more than the Parkhurst set.

I don't know if Parkhurst is considered a true RC but consider the amount of true RC's each player this season will have, when all is said and done will Parkhurst be the one true RC out of the 20+ True RC's that really stands out from this year? The answer to that is no. Even if McDavid does live up to the hype and does become a HOF'er or anybody else in the Parkhurst set becomes a HOF'er big deal, nobodys going to care about the Parkhurst rookie card. People are going to want the Young Guns, SPA FWA, Cup, Ultimate etc.

In terms of your Dionne you have the big fish, you have his OPC Rookie. The Parkhurst set from today will never compete with the OPC sets from yesteryear, Keep the Vintage OPC HOF RC of Dionne.

Everyone in that whole set put together might not score as many goals as Dionne....

The cost of grading will be worth more than that set in the future.
