Carey Price Injury Update (1/12)
From the Habs' website this morning:
(Therrien) also indicated that Carey Price would not be returning to active duty before the All-Star break at the end of January.
So it's another month without him. Getting pretty close to hitting the panic button, I am.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

You and probably a large group of Habs fans are probably pretty close to that button is they haven't already hammered it in panic.
Hopefully (for Montreal fans) the Habs can struggle along this remaining stretch without him and keep themselves in/around the playoff race.

I'm sure Price will be lights out when he returns... but that's the big question.. When??
Hoping Carey can come back and claim his crease a.s.a.p

Well at least we rack up many wins early in the season. I said it, the habs are inspired by Price in the net. Of course I was glad to see Number 11 come back from is finger injury but what Montreal really need is Price back in the net. Let's just hope they can play better, after all, we have a good defense, they need to step it up. They get millons too. Same for the offense.

Interesting development during the game tonight. Healy was pretty calmly talking about it being an MCL tear. The Habs have never stated exactly what the injury Price sustained was, so that was sorta weird to me.

They actually talk about a ligament knee injury for a while on french TV show. This is also why some speculate it may be a long and slow recovery and could be a injury that take time to get back to his level if he ever does. Ligament for goaltender is a bad injury when you practice butterfly styles of goaltending. For instance they mention that for Markov, it took him two year to come back to his previous level of playing after a knee ligament injury. It also explain why he came back for only three match and got injure again. It was simply to fast for him to come back.

The good thing is he will be well rested for the playoffs.

This is the theory...provided that the team can keep things together long enough to actually retain a playoff position. Amazingly, by the time they next play on Thursday they could be on the outside looking in. This is the same team that was 9-0 to start the year. Ahhhh the good old days of October.
