Jack Eichel YG

Obviously, the vast majority of the hype in the hobby has surrounded Connor McDavid this year. That said, in any other year, Jack Eichel likely would've been the hands down first overall pick. Having him go second, is that going to drastically change the hype/value of the rookie card release of one of two generational phenoms entering the league this year? Will UD S2, a product that always plays second fiddle, be as sought after as S1 this season?

It will be less than McDavid for sure. American, nobody gets to see him play regularly, etc. are all factors that will weigh down his values compared to his Canadian-on-a-Canadian-team counterpart.

Yes, I do think S2 will still be very sought after. Tons of stuff to look forward too in the release: Eichel Young Guns, McDavid Canvas YG, Rookie Breakouts, OPC Rookie updates, Rookie Materials/Patches, etc, etc.

And for me ... hopefully... some Jhonas Enroth cards to track down :)

And Eichel's value will be big no doubt, but won't match McDavid.

Acetate YG's - This might be the biggest - I bet a McDavid or Eichel Acetate YG will fetch some serious coin.

Not to mention the fact that it's a UD1/UD2 set. A ton of people build the set regardless of who the best YG is. It might one of the most heaviest built sets in the hobby right up there with SPA, so I'm sure plenty of people will want their hands on some S2.
