Lakers practice 2016
I went to Lakers practice a few times this year. I'll catch up on my previous trips later. Here are my results from yesterday.
Lou Williams 1/1
Jordan Clarkson 1/1
D'Angelo Russell 0/1 - Car was stopped. I asked for an autograph. Then he yelled at the top of his lungs, "Can't you see I'm talking to someone?" (He was talking to his driver.) Probably the biggest a-hole I've run into in all my years of IP graphing.
Byron Scott - Stopped to sign, but I already have a bunch of him.
Kobe Bryant - Did not come to practice at all.
Everyone else just drove by without stopping.
Going for the Lakers is kind of a waste of time. But I really wanted Clarkson.

I hate players like that.
there was a video of Marshawn Lynch going around when the Seahawks played the Packers were some kids were asking Marshawn for his autograph and were kind of following him and Marshawn said something like if you don't leave me alone I'm gonna slap you.
I just don't understand why players act like that. Players shouldn't fall all over and bow to the wishes of fans but, you should at least be respectful of fans and if you don't want to sign be honest and say hey I don't want to sign

It's a shame that Russell is like that. Such a fun kid to watch

Yeah, I don't mind being turned down. I totally respect the players who are brutally honest. I actually think some of their responses are funny. "Not now, man." "I ain't signin' that." No need to be an a-hole. I was totally respectful when I approached him - no yelling, running, etc.
It just reminded me that players are different in person & on tv. He seems like a pretty cool guy when I watch his interviews, etc. That'll be the last time I ask for his autograph.

I really enjoyed watching Russ at tOSU and am disappointed to have missed the chance to get him for $20 when he was doing signing in Columbus, but that sucks to hear about him. I've heard a real mixed bag of results regarding his signing habits.
Those kids way overstepped their boundary and deserved the reaction they got from Lynch. There was more to that story than the video of just Lynch.

It is nice to see that it works both ways though. Lots of the guys you hear the negative pub about often turn out to be pretty cool.

Previous trip - Jan
The last time I went to practice was in Jan. It was a game day.
Some of the graphers were showing me pics on their phone how Metta World Peace stopped last time, got out of his car, and took pics with them. He also gave them his jerseys from China & the Philippines.
Sure enough, he drove out & got out of his car again.
- He asked me if I had kids. Gave some "Panda's Friend" shorts from his days in China for my daughter.
- Gave me a cap & t-shirt for his upcoming movie. When I thanked him, he just asked me to hashtag it. So I'll post a link here:

- I didn't ask him to sign anything because I have a bunch of him.
- He gave swag to everyone there. He is a pretty cool guy.
Kobe Bryant - Did not come to practice at all.
Everyone else just drove by without stopping. Game days stink for getting autographs.
