Sunday at Gibraltar they are usually packing everything up. A few of them still remain open but the best day to go is Saturday.

Thanks.
I'm busy tomorrow but hopefully I can make it out there if that's the case.

It used to be one of the top 10 monthly card shows in the nation. It not nearly what it used to be but if you love hockey there will be some eye candy especially wings stuff. Sunday is a great day to buy. Let us know how you fare and your thoughts.

So I managed to pop in briefly today at Gibraltar. Not a ton of guys there, maybe about 12-15 booths, I figure Saturday there were probably more.
You guys were right, if I was into Red Wings stuff there was some intriguing stuff.
It's interesting to note the differences between an American show and a Canadian one. Not a ton of hockey, except Wings stuff, compared to baseball and football.
Most of the kids I saw at the show were more interested in the football cards than baseball or hockey.
Didn't manage to buy anything major other than a few common singles I needed but it was fun nonetheless. It's a pretty big space regardless.

I knew if you were looking for wings you would find something of interest.
Did you happen to take a look at the booths of wax. As usually some of their prices are better than what you can get. I would assume this would be true for the hockey boxes if you had to pay duties, tariffs, or a dealer making a living. Thanks for letting us know how it is.

I'm not a big box breaker. I primarily buy Series 1 and Series 2 and I was a big fan of 13-14 Contenders. I saw one booth with a lot more hockey boxes than other booths - can't remember the name - and noted the prices were pretty decent.
One guy have a number Series 2 blasters and tins and even with the conversion it was a pretty good deal. For example, below Walmart prices.
I'm not a Wings collector - though I will always look at Kris Draper stuff. Actually there was a ton of vintage hockey stuff. If you were into vintage it was worthwhile.

I likely won't be back in Michigan until the new hockey season (October or so) so I'll be looking at the this thread for any updates.

Thanks for the post. Hopefully, someone will update the thread in the upcoming months before you head back there next year. Also, in addition there another show in Taylor town that is much like Girbaltar. As they sold their other locations and the dealers found another venue for that. So if that show is going on it gives you a 50/50 chance of having a show to attend.
