Dwight Howard is caught using illegal Stickum spray on his hands during game
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...all-games.html
NBA star Dwight Howard has admitted using a banned Stickum spray on his hands to help him grip the ball during games.
The Houston Rockets player covered his hands with the substance during a free throw break in play during Saturday's game against the Atlanta Hawks.
He then returned to the court and after Paul Millsap's shot, grabbed the ball before he was passed back for Millsap's second free throw.
Millsap was then filmed turning his nose up at the feel of the ball, before passing it back to court official Monty McCutchen and stepping away from the free throw line.
McCutchen then approached the team benches, warning the coaches 'Stickum is illegal in the NBA'.
At this point, Rockets coach J.B. Bickerstaff appeared to move in front of the can - which was sitting on the scorers' bench and covered in white strapping tape which masked its labelling.
Footage showed the spray being removed from courtside, while the league said it was investigating the incident.
Despite it being banned, Howard shrugged off the incident after the game.
According to the Houston Chronicle, he said: 'I've been using it for the last five years. It hasn't been a problem.
'I don't know why people are making a big deal out of it. I do it every game. It's not a big deal. I ain't even tripping.'

"It's not a big deal. I ain't even tripping"
Dwight Howard is a punk scumbag who doesn't take ANYTHING serious. I think him saying that he's been using it for the last 5 years is a total cover-up. Because if he was using Stickum the last 5 years then I firmly believe lots of other players would've been complaining. If I were Commissioner Silver I would suspend Howard for the playoffs and either a full suspension for next season or 41 games (half a season). It's not a big deal, Dwight? Cheating most certainly is a BIG DEAL! No matter how big or small the advantage cheating's cheating.
Side note, if the Knicks sign him then I'm turning in my Knicks fan card until he's off the team. I never liked him and I never will. Guy is still a big kid who never matured into a man. And never took the time to develop post moves or work on his free throws. I've zero respect for Dwight Coward.

I think he and DeMarcus Cousins should wear dunce caps together. Two biggest knuckleheads in the league.

The worst part of all of this is if he was using it for the past 5 years he still is an underachieving soft player who hasn't won squat WITH the advantage of cheating.

Is it really that much more of an advantage than using powder or taping fingers to add more grip?

So, the NBA issued only a warning to Howard for his illegal use if stickum. I thought a suspension was in order but that's just me. I can't believe no form of repercussion.
