Sent off 1st 8X10 WITH SASE
Quick question for the pros who always send out 8x10s or SIs to get signed. For 2 8x10 envelopes and postage for both it cost me 9 bucks through the Post Office. Is that about normal for each one to send or is it cheaper to go through UPS or does it matter?
Thanks for any feedback!

that sounds way high. did you buy the envelopes at the post office?
If you sent priority that would be about right, but for a standard large envelope with 2 8x10 (I"m figuring 2 ounces) it should be 1.15 each way if it's flexable, or 2.62 each way if it's ridged.
Hope this helps.
Happy hunting!

Addendum: It's a rare day when it's cheaper to send via UPS or FedEx as an individual.

yeah $9 sounds high. usually for 2 8x10s with a piece of cardboard and SASE and sharpie and it costs me like 2.70 per envelope so like 5.40 altogether and that's usps. I would think it costs more through ups and fedex.

I put 7 stamps on each envelope for mine.

does the 2.70 include the envelopes as well? Because I bought those at Post Office as well.

The 2.70 should be just for the postage. I never buy envelopes at the Post Office. I have a bunch that I use for my side hustle as a bookseller on amazon, but envelopes are a lot cheaper in bulk, like pennies a piece.
Like these envelopes are like 23c a piece, for a pack of 25. If you buy a pack of 100, like these, they're around 15c a piece.

yeah the 2.70 is with my own envelopes. I just go to walmart and but a 10 pack or whatever they come in of 8.5 x 11 and then a pack of the next size up and its not that expensive.
