Holly Inserts Sets 2016-17 Upper Deck!!!!!

I was looking today at the cards that are listed in this years upper deck that has just come out.

Unless I am looking at it wrong, I counted 31!!! Different insert sets one can put together. Yes some only list 1 card or 2, but I still included that.

    This is ONLY Series 1!!!

Yes some are likely retail, hobby, fat packs etc.

But, Holly Cow Batman....that is a lot.

Just my 2 cents on this.

Without COMC I would agree with this statement ..... but if there are 31 different insert sets, I bet 25 will be less than the common YG soon enough

Very true. From someone that tried to do it with the 2009/10 and 2010/11 sets without COMC that still is a challenge.

It almost seems that Upper Deck is going to come out with an inserts only laden product in the future with this one as quite possibly a test run... Ya never know!

I don't know that I would be worried about too many inserts-only products. Full Force launched last year as basically an "Inserts Sets Product" and it was a dumpster fire level of failure for a product launch...so it seems like they got the idea that that particular product type isn't going to be a hit with collectors.

Also, what are all these insert sets in Series 1?

They have the Shining Stars, Canvas and Portraits which are the ones we're always used to. There are the 2 new "hobby exclusive" ones, I forget what they're called..goalie nightmares is one of them I think. There's also day with the cup which is the ultra-rare insert set. Are there any other significant ones?

I will only be picking and choosing which insert sets I will put together. I really only collect game used cards and signed game used cards but there are some nice insert set to.

Indeed. 1:5000 packs are the odds :)

Plus autographed copies as well. I don't know the odds on those though.

Hope they don't do Full force again. It was too confusing with all the inserts.
