Stupid Question - COMC
I have a COMC account but have never purchased anything.
If I buy something on COMC, it just goes to my account? There's no shipping charge until I choose to have it shipped?
Am I right?

Yes, yes, an yes.
You can opt to re-sell the card after you purchase it, but few do that.

Yes, correct.
If you don't want to let it sit and collect dust in your account, you can always just click "add to cart" when you see a card you like and choose to have it shipped to you immediately by paying for it right then and there. That's what I always do.
Though if you're planning on picking up a few cards in the next little while, you could always add a few cards to your account, then get it all shipped together in one shipment.
The choice is yours.Jhonas Enroth Card Collector & Host of the Hidden Content

How does shipping to Canada work from comc? I know they have a Canadian office, but wondering if duties have to be paid (even though we're not supposed to for sports cards...)

It's all covered, you won't need to worry about duties. Once you pay for your order with COMC, you're all set.

When you go to checkout the duties are included in the shipping so you'll see the shipping higher than quoted.

Something new to me. How does it work? Do I have to pay for cards without shipping?

I usually wait till I have 10+ cards and then do them all at once to save on the base shipping fee.

Normally I ship my cards in multiples of 100. If you ship 100 cards in a month, you'll get a $5 store credit.
The $3 flat rate ship to Canada is gone now.... used to be that you actually made $2 having them shipped if you did 100 cards.... but this is still (IMO) the best way to do it.

With their new checkout policy, any cards you ship out that you didn't purchase from them (i.e. had shipped to your mailbox) you'll have to declare value and they'll calculate any duties fees.
