    Ebay/watchcount question

I know that watchcount is able to find final BIN prices where as ebay doesn't show the info. Is it even possible to see what someone's highest bid placed is?

You can see all bids on the eBay listing. The user names will be ***'d out but you'll see max bids.

My thought was current auctions. If my max value is 10, but someone has already put in their max bid at $15, I'd be wasting my time bidding,.

Revealing maximum bids by a potential buyer would damage sellers. By your own admission you wouldn't bid on a card if you knew you wouldn't exceed the amount already submitted and if all potential buyers had that information there would likely be fewer bids placed. I can't agree with your "wasting my time" description. You took a shot at a card by offering a price you were willing to pay, sometimes you win and sometimes you don't. No different from a seller whose sales sometimes exceed their expectations and other times they don't sell at all.

They've never shown that. I imagine that kind of info would stifle the bidding process.

    Forgetting another import thing....

Say the card you want (right now) shows a $5 bid (someone else has already bid). You bid $10 (your max) which jumps the price up to $10.25 (the other bidder actually bid $15). This bid is not a waste, at all, IMO.

Seller might have two copies of the card, or the winning bid might not pay. You could get a second chance offer.
