Getting back into the hobby, how did I do?
Hi everyone, I'm recently getting back into the hobby and a lot has changed since the 90's. Autographs and jersey cards are easier to get for starters, I'm also not familiar with all the different sets that are out there. So I went online and ordered 4 boxes from Dave & Adams below are the boxes and the unique cards and "hits" I received, how did I do?
2 Packs of Full Force as a Free Gift due to the total cost of the order
15/16 Full Force
Thermal Threats Connor McDavid
Valuable Assets Andre Burakovsky
15/16 Contours 4 Pack Box
Club Crest Max Domi
Rookie Jumbo Fabrics Derek Forbort
Rookie Jumbo Fabrics Josh Anderson
Youth Movement Leon Draisaitl 127/399 *Signed
Rookie Resume Jake Virtanen 115/399
Rookie Resume Kevin Fiala 19/50 *The number is not printed on the front like Jake Virtanen it says Proof there, what does that mean?
15/16 SPX 10 Pack Box
Rookie Fabric Noah Hanifin
Rookie Fabric Jake Virtanen
Rookies Auto Jersey Mikko Rantanen
Shift Change Aaron Ekblad
Shift Change Mark Stone
Stick Wizards Alex Ovechkin

Rookie Phenom Shea Theodore *Signed It's interesting to compare the signatures of the two Theodores. The S the 3 and some other things look different.
Profiles Material Mark Scheifele
Rookie Phenom Jack Eichel
15/16 Full Force 33 of the 90 cards had a bent top left corner. I sent an e-mail to Upper Deck so I'll see what they say. It was really disappointing.
Rising Force Rasmus Risolainen 973/999 *Bent top left corner
Draft Board Mario Lemieux *Bent top left corner
Draft Board Jaromir Jagr *Bent top left corner
Blue Print Mario Lemieux *Bent top left corner
Blue Print Dennis Potvin *Bent top left corner

3D Freshmen Nick Cousins

Rising Force Kevin Fiala 789/999
Last but not Least a redemption card
Sidney Crosby Blueprint Auto No #ing A google search on Beckett shows this card is 1:18,136 which is Group A with Lemieux and Messier. I know there is no numbering on the card but with those odds it sounds like this would be a rare card right?
From what I hear these cards can be a wait, and if it can't be done they offer something else.
No idea what it's worth or what I should accept as an alternative if they can't produce the card.
Overall I think I should have just stuck with SPX or Full Force, to have some consistency. However I was disappointed that over a 1/3rd of the full force cards had a bend in the top left corner. There was no damage at all to the box.

Beauty Hits on the Crosby, Draisaitl & Rantanen.
Redemptions, if already produced and signed may only take a week or two. I had one that was already produced and signed by the player(Ice Bibeau Rookie auto Patch /10), it was received within 2 weeks with shipping to Canada.
Congrats and welcome back!

Nice breaks, especially on the Crosby. Not sure what UD will say but keep after them. If damage is a result of their production of them keep on trying. Who knows with UD>

Another reason to avoid boxes/packs. Just go straight to eBay to buy what you want. You will be happier in the long run.

Opening the packs is way up there on the fun factor for me, even if it's a bust pack. Fortunately or Unfortunately I'm a Panthers fan. The advantage is the cool cards for Panther players I may want are pretty cheap on eBay. So I'll definitely be using eBay for those.

Psh. That's the economical choice, but if you're in this only for the economics you'll end up disappointed. Opening packs is exciting. I think a good balance between buying packs and buying singles is ideal.

@Shenanigans302 I can put together a small lot of low end panthers cards for trade or sale.
