This is exactly what bugs me about new Leaf/ITG releases. At first I have to express my eternal gratitude that you remember (and produce cards of) my fellow countrymen like Roman Turek, Roman Cechmanek, or, heavens, Frank Musil. But the topic matter is what drags those cards down in my view, while it is really not necessary. And as mentioned before, it is a matter of choosing the graphics, since in most cases you use rendered jersey images of these guys instead of photos. You can literally put any jersey on the card, yet...
Exhibit A, Roman Turek in Masked Men.
Pads clearly from his Dallas Stars era, yet Flames jersey shown

Exhibit B, Roman Turek in ITGU
Patches cut from Stars crest logo (can it be more explicit? ;), yet Blues jersey shown

And many others in new ITGU, like Mike Modano's name on Victory Green Dallas sweater introduced in 2013 for example.
It is a pity (at least for me), but I think it could be improved very easily and would upgrade and promote the cards significantly.Last edited by Netorack; 08-01-2017 at 05:45 AM.

All card companies do this. It's particularly annoying for my personal collection when I see a nice Gordie Howe jersey card, him pictured as a Red Wing, and the jersey swatch from his Whalers days. That happens with UD all the time, but I just collect around it and hope they get it right going forward. The fun and pitfalls of the hobby. :)

It's a tough spot for sure - you've got the mem and it should be used in some capacity, but the mix of NHL imagery and CHL mem doesn't work, IMO. If you have both of select players, you can always do a career journey sort of thing. UD has done that in the past with guys who have been on multiple teams and it is cool if you're a fan of that player.
A lot of what's been in the recent Leaf releases is pretty popular around here at our trade nights. The group breaks for Leaf stuff always fill and Stickwork was great for people looking to get some great vintage pieces. It's taking hold for sure, and I like that you guys are receptive to suggestions for improvement.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Difference is your cards have a photo. When you use player photos, you are limited to the pic you have been licensed to use. When using a graphic image (not a photo) the possibilities are unlimited.
I agree with one poster...Maybe there are Berube cards with Caps swatches and they haven't surfaced yet. As for the cards themselves, I really like the inclusion of the tough guys who often get left behind in mainstream sets.Hidden Content
