When you say almost complete set do you mean series 1 and 2? Are any of the missing cards key young guns?

What do you think? I wanted to know whether the trade is a good trade or pull back, and wait. I'd like an opinion before I would consider a trade.

I wouldn't trade the Gretzky for that set if it were complete

"That Set"? For both sets. I'm asking in general. The 2014-15 is worth $600 - $650 and 2015-16 is worth $700?. The YG's are tough to complete.

You didn't answer my question if the sets are both series 1 and 2 (500 card set) or just series 1 or 2 (250 card set). Assuming that its both and youre not missing any key YGs then I think its fair.
I would rather have the Gretzky myself but everyone is different. Yes I do think the trade is fair
EDIT: If you are only getting 14-15 or 15-16 then I don't think its fair. I thought you are getting both 14-15 and 15-16Last edited by theboxbreaker96; 03-26-2018 at 09:51 AM.

You describe the Gretzky as:
1979-80 opc Gretzky nm+?
So I'm guessing it's not graded, but you're thinking it'd get a PSA 7 or better?
There are some good, but not great, RCs in the 14-15 set. That's why I say that even if it was a complete set (both Series 1 & 2) I would't trade a Gretzky OPC RC for it.
If I were trading a nm+ Gretzky OPC Rookie Card, and I'm getting a complete UD Series 1/2 (or missing a couple of common YGs) set in return: The only two years I'd even consider would be 05-06, or 02-03. There isn't another year where the set is worth that card in a trade, at least IMO.
You could piece that 14-15 UD set together for about $300. Maybe closer to $400 when you factor in s/h (but if you're careful, you can keep s/h quite low).
If the Gretzky is good enough for a PSA 6, you're looking at something worth about $1k if it were slabbed.

Yes, it is Series 1, and Series 2 for both sets. The last I looked in Beckett the Draisaitl yg is worth $100, Gaudreau is worth $60. Those 2 cards is half of $300 alone. Okay, they aren't. It is a nice set. $300 is a little cheap to me.
McDavid YG is selling for $400. Thank you for your opinion.

If you're wondering about BVs, I think you already know the answer. The set (even missing a couple of common YGs) is pretty comparable BV to the Gretzky. If that makes it an even trade (similar BVs) then it's even.
