    Lurker who finally posts!

Hi Everyone My Name is Chris from Pa, Screen Name is Black59Razor, (I grew up a huge Montana fan)

I actually joined the site about 2 months ago, however just kind of stayed as a lurker, until recently,

My addiction to sports cards started on a cold rainy day in 1990 when I rode my bike to the local small grocery store, I grew up in a small town and expecting to buy a bunch of junk candy, I looked behind the counter and saw these NFL Cards, I was like what are they? The guy smiled football cards 50 cents a pack.

Then the whole spiel started "If you hold on to them for a long time they are worth a ton of money" This was 1990 I was 8 years old, My first pack of cards was the 1990 Pro Set, Series 1, Still have them I managed to complete the set just for the nostalgia, Definitely not going to fund my retirement, or my kids for that matter. I think every kid in that era heard the same story that we are getting a investment portfolio with training wheels.

I was addicted, at first I was ashamed thinking I was this geek that only did this. later I found out while at school I wasn't the only one these things were everywhere kids my age where buying and trading cards all the time. I made my first sale, a Joe Montana card out of that set for 3.00, I was such a hustler. But from then I totally went into full I want to make money mode just to buy sports cards. Shoveling Sidewalks, running errands. mowing lawns whatever I could do to earn a dollar to bust that next pack.

But that started me into the journey 28 years later I still play with it, I ran an internet, hobby site for a few years until the recession tanked it. I still have my EIN and Tax license and I am dabbling now more as a hobby vs. a part time business.

As far as a collector, I'm big into football and Vintage, My collecting habits changed over the years drastically, I used to be big into I wanted to collect them all, I have piles of the 90s cards looking to complete all the sets. Even those Ugly Ugly 91 Fleer Yellow Border cards. Slowly but truly I been helping out others looking to complete their sets with commons and those who are autograph collectors, and/or Relic Card collectors.

I currently collect Base Rookies, from certain sets, I prefer my cards raw for my PC, currently finishing the 79 Topps Football, and been working on the 65 Topps AFL set *Tall boys* for years.
