Klay Thompson sets NBA record: 14 threes in a game
http://www.espn.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=401070772
He had 52 points overall.
Warriors actually had 92 at the half, so they were on pace to score 184, the likes of which we haven't seen since the early 1980s.
Congrats to Klay, but the circus continues. Contemporary NBA like video games these days.

Scoring is way up. This is what fans want to see, the long shots and long rebounds creating more transition play. And the analytics show that taking more 3's is the way to go. It's a better product.

I suppose there are some who like that, particularly the casual fans. However, on a lot of the other forums I check out, most die-hards are in agreement that around 110 points is optimal -- enough defense to make it competitive, and enough offense and speed to keep it from being boring. 120 or more, particularly 130, 140, and 150 points, is absolutely not better product -- it's a joke, defensively.
