2019 HOF Class -- um, what?

    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2...ones-make-hall

Is it just me, or are these classes becoming increasingly lackluster? I'm familiar with the accomplishments of Paul Westphal (as a player and coach), Sidney Moncrief, and Bobby Jones, and I realize they were good players in their day -- but HOF level? Why not Chris Webber? What did those other guys do that CWebb didn't do? I mean, Moncrief's career barely spanned a decade, and he didn't even reach 12,000 points. You might as well put a guy like Eddie Jones in the HOF. Jack Sikma also got overlooked, and he's another big guy like CWebb who actually had over 17,000 points and made a lot of All-Star teams. I guess this means Chris Bosh and Kevin Love won't make it, but a guard with 12,000 to 15,000 points might.

Chris Webber, I do somewhat agree with you. At this time I would not even mention Love, though,I had high hopes for him. Bosh ? good for a stint but not to dominating for his career. I really think it is ok to have a few nominated and even less inducted.

Looks like I was incorrect about Sikma -- I just read another article that says he got inducted.

Obviously I'm bias here, however Bosh is a 11 time all star and has 2 rings which is better that than anybody in this class. I actually laughed when I saw the list of people getting in this year

Yeah I can't believe those all made it ahead of CWebb, especially Moncrief. If they are giving it to guards like him ahead of CWebb, that's what made me concerned for other power forwards with far better credentials.

II am not saying Bosh is not worthy, I just do not think if not joining Wade and Lebron, he more than likely would have no rings. I did like his playing for a stint, I should have said. I do have quite a bit of nice
    Bosh items.

Isn't the whole reason why Webber hasn't gotten in yet was because of that thing that happened that "erased" his time at Michigan? He's probably being kept out (more likely punished) for that than not having the #s.

Could be. Tim Hardaway recently speculated he is being kept out of the HOF because of his excessive rant against gays over a decade ago. Hardaway is no longer hostile toward the gay community, but this is 2019 America we're talking about, and what someone wrote or did 10-20-30-40 years ago is held against you eternally, no public forgiveness ever granted anymore.
