They could easily solve this problem by going old school and having the odds on pulling the inserts be the same for each insert set. That's how it always was back in the good old 80s when O Pee Chee was the only set out there and you had the same odds of pulling each card. Then the value will be based on who the card is rather than on just being shorter-printed. Made it more of a fun, kids hobby, as opposed to the mess the hobby has become today.

This is a valid point.
I do like the difficulty of chasing down some of the short print parallels and inserts however, and who doesn't want to pull a Tim's jersey or auto? I pulled a MacKinnon jersey a couple of years ago and it was amazing. I was quickly able to turn it into some sweet Habs PC Cards.

A case sure.. a box no way! For example, if someone or a dealer buys a case opens the first two boxes and gets the case hit, and then sells the remaining boxes, what are your odds then. Sadly I think this happens a lot, many people just don't realize it.
