i believe the clear cuts are inserted in series 1 and 2 and the acetates are inserted in SP Authentic

the rarity and quality of the cards are quite different

getting a pull like that from the much more expensive SPA is more "exclusive" but additionally the clear cut young guns from series 1 are very flimsy and thin compared to the SPA acetate ones

I think the images on the Clear Cuts match the regular Young Guns, while the Acetates are a different image. Not sure if the Acetates will exist this year with the introduction of the Clear Cut Exclusives?

Clear Cut are in Series 1 and Series 2, done for each player (vets and rookies alike) in the set. The card uses the same image as the base card, but is printed on acetate.

Acetate YG's are inserted in SP Authentic (Series 1) and I want to say Ultimate (Series 2) - they're made only for the rookies, have the Young Guns logo on raised foil, and use a different image.

    Hope that helps!

    all of this helps.
so by that i assume that the acetates are rarer and therefore higher in BV than the clear cuts?
i also noticed that the newer clear cuts actually say clear cut on the back

Yes, the Acetate Young Guns are rarer than the Clear Cut Young Guns and are more valuable.

Correct. Both are pretty desirable, especially for those collectors who are going through the process of putting together the rainbow for the parallels, but the Acetate do carry higher values. They're popular enough that UD last year started printing "retro" versions for certain players as an Easter Egg.
