    New in town

First off let me say thank you for letting me join the forum. My name is Keith. Up until very recently I was not a card collector. My father died in 2010 and now my mother has moved out of there home, which has left me to organize a few things. I new my Father liked to collect sports cards, but was not aware as to what extent. I am not sure of the number exactly but I am going to guess at somewhere between 5 and 10 thousand cards. The majority are hockey, with some baseball and golf. Some start out in the mid to late sixties and go on through to about 2009. I am going to play around and organize them and try to sell what I can. So if anyone is looking for anything in particular, I assume you will be able to get in touch with me here. Thanks again.

Hey Keith, Sorry for the situation. Welcome to the forum's though. If you need any assistance on how to use the site and the features, we have tutorials available or ask any one of us. I'm sure anyone who has been here while will be willing to help. I would suggest scanning in the cards so people can see them if they are expensive cards or vintage (pre-1980). Newer stuff is generally in Mint condition and may or may not be widely available. For prices, you can check comc.com, ebay.com, or Beckett.com. There is no specific way to identify a price for cards. You don't seem like you are going to be trading so I would recommend seeing what actual sale prices are. Any other questions go ahead and ask here or use the PM feature and ask away!. Good Luck Rich
