    Upper Deck E-Pack Achievements

Every so often I find myself browsing through e-Pack for some missing gems, and today I found myself in the Achievements section of the site. I was genuinely surprised to see just how many ongoing active "chase" sequences they have running there for collectors to get some pretty cool cards.

How many of you guys have completed an achievement? What was the set(s) you chased, what did you receive from it?

Agreed - There are a ton on the epacks especially if you collect a large amount of teams/players. I have done some Upper Deck e-Packing but I decided it became to cost prohibitive for me. I am pretty much only interested in the Blackhawks, so I was able to trade to get a number of Blackhawks, by the time cards are bought and then shipped to me, it gets pretty costly.

However, some of the achievements are pretty sweet and can only be obtained on ePacks or on secondary market. The only 2 I chased were the 2019-20 Upper Deck MVP Puzzle Back Achievements for Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. If you collected all the puzzle back cards for either player you received a SN100 achievement card for Kane and Toews. I managed to either pull the puzzle back cards from packs or trade to obtain the achievements.

I chase some of the basic ones from time to time but it gets super costly. I spend a fair amount on ePack and I rarely have a chance at the bigger achievements (i.e. SP Game Used, Ultimate, Platinum). It's typically the same users who buy dozens of cases per product that get those achievements. These are the same users who can buy 10-12 case of S1 or S2 without blinking an eye. Boy, if I won the lottery ... lol.

I was able to get a couple Red /100 MVP cards this year through Pack-Wars, but my budget doesn't come anywhere near the ability to chase achievements.

I've done the ones for completing Compendium Sets, but nothing major in hockey. My biggest achievement cards were from Clerks:

Complete Rainbow Foil set (1-90, but 73-90 were SPs. Needed 10x each card for a Rainbow). That got you SP-1. I was one of the first 100 people to get SP-1, so I also got an uncut sheet.

Complete Silver Foil sets of all four inserts (needed 10x of each insert for Silver Foil). That got you SP-3. Two of the sets were large (18 cards in each, I think) but easy to find. The other two were smaller, but tougher to track down.

SPs 2 & 4, I can't imagine more than one or two people ever got them. For #2, you needed to redeem a complete base set (1-90) of the Red Foils. These cards were serial numbered /37. I actually have a complete set (JUST finished it last week) but a lot of them were bought on COMC, so I never had this set on ePack.... and the achievement expired in 2018.

For #4, you needed to Rainbow Foils of the inserts, which required 100 copies of each card. For the Kevin Smith Insight & Walt Art Inserts - I can't imagine there was 100 available for trade, at any point. These fell like 1 or 2 per box, and so much of what's in the system is dead accounts.

No "achievement" associated with it, but I actually did a set of Gold Foils too. Needed 100 copies of a card. Cards #ed 1-72 are not that tough to find.... but The SPs (you get 4 per box) #ed 73-90 are crazy hard to find.

Very cool input from everybody so far. I was prompted this in part by snagging a Ryan Poehling Cast for Greatness Green /50 last night, that led me to the website where I came across that gigantic list.

Question for some of the participants - for some of the bigger ones like "Mastery" from Series 1 - to get the Jack Hughes Mastery Achievement MF it says you have to redeem Achievements MD and ME. Do you still get to keep MD and ME as a physical card for having gone through the process to earn those? Or is it like cashing in two 5's for a 10?

I believe you keep those, but like a lot of other cards.... they become "redeemed". Still good for the physical card, but you can't trade them to someone else who then cashes them in.

That is my understanding as well. You keep any of the cards but they cannot not be redeemed as part of another achievement by you or anyone else they get traded to.

Gotcha! So I can still "get" the card and send it to COMC, I can't just load up on these for my own Achievement quests. Smart.
