Don't think many will miss ice, but Trilogy seems to have a following. Can't say this is shocking given the supply chain shortages and length manufacturing lead times, but still surprising to actually read it.

I wrote this in another thread, talking about Series 1... it's delayed... and I listed the 2020-21 products still to come out
Upper Deck AHL, O-Pee-Chee Platinum, Overtime Wave 3, Ice, SP Authentic, Ultimate Collection, Stature, Premier, Clear Cut, The Cup
I didn't even have Trilogy on the list. Forgot about it, I guess.
How many others are going to get the axe?

Well, more delays could have been expected, as usual.
UD is becoming a joke. No QC, no comms directly to customers, only relaying info through distributors...
I dont care that much for Ice but I always liked Trilogy. Nevertheless, my wallet will be happier with focus only on OPCP and Series 1

This was Trilogy for 21-22. I think your list for 20-21 was alright.
Cancelling a product like Ice or Trilogy won't be the end of the world and, honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ice (packs or cards) show up as a bonus in another product. Same thing for Trilogy next year.
Trilogy's format wasn't as appealing more recently and they have been flooding that mid-to-high-release space. With some of the supply chain delays, the space would get more crowded next spring. And, again, just like Ice, I could see Trilogy RCs showing up in other releases or even as epack exclusives.
To a degree, collectors need to get used to a shifting landscape in the hobby. While I realize that UD has (and has had) their issues, Fanatics has disrupted the industry and, part of these changes, may be a response to that and where UD needs to be positioned with the NHL. The 'eco-system' isn't quite as simple as UD-to-Collector like we might like it do be...

I also think this won't be the first to be cut due to supply issues and also by trying to get back onto a more normalized schedule.
We haven't seen a release is a long time and yet, there are still so many of last years products left for release - let alone anything from this year.
it is a mess, and I don't know if it's UD's fault or not.

See for me I'm the opposite. I've always liked Ice and found Trilogy to pretty pretty meh. Don't get me wrong, there's some pretty cool cards within Trilogy, and I hope they find a new home for the Signature Pucks. But even though I have some issues with how much plastic there is involved in the hobby, I really like the acetate cards from Ice.

So no 20-21 products will be released before Christmas at all this year?

I'm assuming you're meaning 21-22.
Tim Hortons is out (in Canada) next week. Fingers crossed that Series 1 hits before Christmas because I want a Cole Caufield YG in a box under my tree.

Yep, 21-22.
If nothing will be out (MVP or UD), I'm gonna have to get creative with a kid that will be expecting something new to open. ugh.
