Is anyone better at talking out of both sides of his mouth than Ron Maclean?
Tonight on HNIC trying to explain Jim Matheson's rude behavior was cringe worthy.

The media will always circle the wagons and protect their own.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Yes I have noticed this.
All Maclean accomplished was making himself like a fool as well.
As fate would have it Draisaitl goes out and scores an all-world goal to win the next game.
Not an Oiler's fan by any stretch but that was sweet.

The answer is no. Nobody is better at talking out both sides of their mouth than Ron MacLean.
I remember when he used to be a good broadcaster, but he mailed it in about 10 years ago.

Evander Kane has signed with the Oilers. It's official. Might be in the lineup as soon as Saturday.

They are playing quite well. This move is questionable.

They've looked good again the last couple of games, yeah. 3 game winning streak.... Koskinen looked good.... and they're piling on the shots.
Evander Kane joins this team and is now their 3rd most talented forward. I'm not sure there's three more forwards in the entire Pacific division that are better hockey players than he is. This is MASSIVE upgrade on the wing for them. I don't know if that means the have a loaded top two lines (McDavid, Draisaitl, Kane, RNH, Hyman, Puljarvi) or if this pushes RNH to the 3C slot, and they suddenly have three lines that will be a regular threat to score.
Kane IMO has always come off as a selfish guy, but his problems have been off the ice, not on it. He's made some very poor choices. I have no idea how he actually is in the locker room. He's obviously pissed off enough teammates in the past that he's been traded (or banished to the minors). I'm going to go out on a limb though, and suggest that not everyone he's ever played with hates his guts. I also can't imagine they signed him, without the core of the team telling management they were onboard with the idea.
It's got the potential to blow up in their faces, but it's also got the potential to lock this team in as the top offense in the league.

I think team and locker room chemistry is underrated. It's no fun being around someone you can't stand all the time. It ruin's the vibe of the whole team.
Reminds me of 49er's coach Mike Singletary speech about selfish players, "You cannot play with them, you can not win with them, you can not coach with them, can't do it! "
Pretty much says it all. lol

Well I was wrong, Kane is the answer to all the Oiler's problems.
Or was it playing a game against the Habs?
