The main thing is...to gamble, apparently. Even the broadcast crew is pushing it, ugh.

It sure is! I'd suggest that MacKinnon is one of the top 5 offensive players in the league as well - so you've got three of the top 5 (shout out to Auston Matthews, and likely Jonny Gaudreau to round out that top 5).
Dropping game one hasn't hurt the Oilers yet. I'm expecting a better game from them tonight, and a tied up series!

This topic can be another thread of it's own haha.
But yeah, I also really dislike the push towards gambling every 2 seconds and the commercials, betting segments, etc. It just feels wrong.Jhonas Enroth Card Collector & Host of the Hidden Content

Same boat in regards to the constant gambling speak. The amount of money being paid out for sponsorship is and commercial time is ridiculous, and is only going to get worse as more gambling operations get started up under Ontarios new Sports-book opportunities.

About no one I guess... Although it's very far from being over; I really like how the Tampa Bay Lightning is playing! On the other hand, in the Western Conference, I don't like at all what I'm seeing from the Edmonton Oilers. I mean, I was really hoping they could bring back our 1st Stanley Cup in Canada since 1993... That's a really looooonnnnnng time w/o a Cup for my country!
Not that they're currently totally playing their worst playoffs hockey, game 2 has been won by Colorado within 3 minutes of the 2nd period, but still... It's a 2-0 lead for the Avs so far in that series, and they succeeded to contain the McDavid & Draisaitl so well in the two 1st games. A 4-0 loss in game 2 for Edmonton, with the backup goalie in the net for the Avalanche.. Seriously?! "Good thing" for the Oilers that Kuemper was injured; what would have been the score then?
Was really thinking this series could/would go in 7, not sure anymore. What do u people think?! Is this series already over, while being barely started? I think the fact that Smith is the Oilers' no 1 goaltender might now be catching up with them. It was not that obvious in the first two rounds, but the remaining teams being SO good, I think it now shows big time!
I'm starting to believe that the Oilers are really gonna need a miracle in the net if they hope to advance. And they may well come short just 'cause of their goalkeeper issues... Unfortunately! IF the Avs make it through this 3rd round, I see them hoisting the Cup! They're playing that well right now!Last edited by sleepn0t; 06-04-2022 at 05:54 AM.

How about them Rangers eh? Gotta love a good underdog story in the playoffs. Would be nice to see them make the Finals.

Indeed, I wanna see the Rangers in the Finals... So it'll b NYR vs Avs! Anyway I really don't see how the Oilers can come back from a 0 - 3 deficit. And even if they end up winning one or two, not a chance in the world they're gonna win 4 in a row! Not against a team like Colorado. This series is OVER! Was really hoping 2 see (at least) one Canadian team in the Finals.. Better chance next year!
