so a kid makes a mistake albeit a very serious one.
and he is denied forgiveness and access to his chosen profession FOREVER.
nobody especially newspeople actually know the extent of his sorrow, nor do i. he might be a phony.
but i have seen many cases where the perpetraitor of an offense is forbidden to meet with their victims
and you cant possibly believe statements read by players, politicians or real life people who have screwed up have been written by themselves.
his apology was probably written by his lawyer/agent
the NHL is now officially woke.
there are players(elite) players who raped women and they are being covered up by their teams and the NHL. right now.
there is Joe Thorton, Jim Craig, etc who were given the victim treatment and their indescretions were far more serious in nature that resulted in someone dying.
and they were adults. if as i am told 18 is an adult
not old enuff to drink but old enuff to kill for your country
what garbage.
i am glad i am old seeing how there is a definite two tier system of justice in North America. companies/people dont have the guts to stand up to public pressure anymore
heck its probably a few hundred "fans" who dont even watch hockey and talking heads responsible for this .
the few have way more power over the mindless masses who allow this to happen.
i am not saying Miller didnt do something wrong. but even murderers get out of prison at some point.
he is getting the Rittenhouse treatment from people who i bet have a few skeletons in their closets as well
rant over
but we all need forgiveness to move on
if you deny forgiveness to someone - how can you ask for forgiveness for your sins. and we all sin.Last edited by icefields; 11-09-2022 at 05:05 PM.

In today's sports world, every Player is a brand, every Team is a brand, and the League is a brand. The Player needs to make his brand right before the other two will acknowledge the smaller brand. How adults let this happen and continue is one thing. How there wasn't some adult that pushed Miller to make his brand right is beyond me. Shouldn't this be what parents and agents are for? In other words, make the proper apologies and attempt to set things right with the victim. Also, do hours of community service to change yourself as a person and show that you are trying to be a better person. Otherwise, the world needs ditch diggers too if it is too much work or beneath the athlete.
*No offense intended to anyone that is a ditch digger, your work is valued just not televised.

Based on social media activity and other reports his dad and the whole family are bigots as well. Not really surprising as how else did he learn to act that way at such a young age?
When the family of origin is an obvious toxic influence what are the options? I imagine unless there is evidence of physical abuse and or neglect nothing much can be done. For the most part, this is on his parents, they failed him.Bucket: Hidden Content
Interested in anything hockey, any team, mostly less common rookie cards and anything with a Team Canada jersey.
