Why would they sell hobby boxes for 48 and retail for 72?

Plus the red text indicating a sale is not present on the product listing

Probably only had a few boxes of hobby set aside for this price. Moot point anyway as it's showing as sold out now.

The Megas are already sold out, but Walmart might restock at some point. I was hoping to buy more, last year the limit was of 5 OPC Platinum blasters. I was able to order my 2 boxes right at the start of the promotion. It will be fun, but I don't plan to go deeper into UD1 this year., the only card I really want is the Jordan Harris YG.

Just noticed that ZE is selling last years extended hobby box for $42. Probably another misprint but it you're interested they are still in stock

I don't think it's a misprint. I think they're just trying to unload excess stock. It also says they're limiting orders to 60 boxes per customer (is that even a limitation?).

Just picked up 3 of the hobby boxes of 20-21 Extended. Not only a great price at $42.56 a box, but double the points this weekend on all orders.

Have to say, at $28.46 per 9 pack box, kind of feels like it would be better to wait for the retail 24-pack boxes to come out and go on sale for like $60, which they likely will.

It's a gamble. I bought a bunch of UD1 19-20 megas during the black friday back in the days, and now, the retail boxes from that year are like 150Cad. Not sure if some of the guys on the checklist this year have the potential to raise up the price of sealed wax.

And, yes, with the right timing, many times UD1-2 retail boxes went into the 40-70$ range a bit after the release.

It's always fun to participate into the hype of a freshly released product.
