It feels for me that the east conference playoffs could be a real hard core while I wouldn't call it a cakewalk but the west teams doesn't look like buying much. Are east teams overall better than west or I'm missing something between the lines? That's just my opinion, please correct me.

Kane is playing great right now. Could be a big help to the Rangers playoff wise.

Hawks had no leverage in the trade. If Kane wouldn't have waited so long to OK a trade, they would have gotten more. A couple of draft picks are better then letting him walk for nothing at the end of the season. Although I wouldn't be to surprised if he resigns in Chicago.
