2018 Ohtani Auto Freshman Flash Red 4/5

My 8 year old at the time pulled this a few years ago and is thinking about selling it. I've spoken with individuals and auction houses and I'm getting values that are literally all over the board.

This card would have been worth way more before his injury. His cards are down like 45% since the injury or something like that. So it might be best to wait and see where he signs to sell this and get a boost. If he goes to a team like the Dodgers or Yankees there will be immediate media hype and that would be a perfect time to sell.

BTW an auction house is usually going to overvalue anything to try and get you to sell it at their auction house. But most times the price will come up short what they quote so going with an auction house isn't a bad idea but just keep your expectations in check. I'd say take whatever they claim it could sell for and knock off 25% to 50% to get a more realistic idea of what your item will bring. And then you have to give them a cut of that price.

Also congrats to you and your 8 year old son for pulling a card that amazing!

If my son can walk away with $10k I think he'd be happy to sell it, but he's also fine with holding it for a couple more years
