I'm kinda surprised Bedards base is going for over 100. His yg is going to be scary

In the past, OPC rookies almost never went for good money. I bought a well-centered minty Caufield for under 10$. The only other OPC rookie selling for good money in the past few years that I can think of is the McDavid Update from UD2 15-16. I remember buying retail boxes of that product for dirt cheap at some point.

It's crazy seeing how many "collectors" are busting OPC. In past years you hardly saw anybody post OPC box breaks.

I just opened two boxes, and did at least get a Bedard...

of the four shops locally, one was out, another got a second shipment in, and were selling for $142 + taxes. I'm not sure of the third, but the main one I go to had his initial lot at $125 tax in. The first one I mentioned should have his resupply tomorrow, and I think will be $130 + taxes if I heard him right.

So now I have the main rookie for the set so I may just put this one together. Hopefully my main shop has some still.....

My local Toys R us had 8 of the fat packs left at $11 a pack (28 cards per pack, including 3 marquee rookies/all-stars, 3 retros and possibly one additional premier or parallel card per pack) Pulled the Bedard in the third pack I opened as well. Have to say, the fat packs were actually decent value at that price. If I do try to put the set together, that may be the way I go.

Congrats, you got the biggest one! Cooley, Fantilli and friends are much more affordable. If at some point you want to trade, I opened a box and still have most of the bases/SPs/RCs available.

I haven't followed this product much before but it appears there is now in past few years way more colorful and or shiny low # parallels. So, a low # hit of Bedard would still be just that, a low #'d huge hit. I'm guessing that is why otherwise I wouldn't be too excited to break many boxes just for a base opc rc.

Here's something i've never seen before. Less than a week after it's release date LCS's are marking up the price.

One LCS was selling them from $105 on release day, now they're selling them for $140. Another was selling them for $95, now they're selling them for 120. Talk about price gouging.

I think these new prices for OPC hobby are going to set the bar for the prices of future products. Blaster Boxes of series 2 are already on preorder for $45 at one place

Upper Deck has done a good job with OPC the last 3 years with the coloured parallels. That's why people are busing it more.

Got my two boxes from 401 games and one was good, one meh. No Bedard so I went to order more but their price went from 119 to 140. . Dammit!
