Steve are you serious? If that was the case why is the site still up. Look at the site traffic as I never seen these kind of numbers in age. The site cannot handle the traffic numbers. I think just now there was 432 people viewing the hockey section and 300 plus in baseball football etc. So, let try to stick to the truth.

If you check the timing of surge 1/20 and the amount 72 members versus 1842 guests it has nothing really to do with the server since it was being swamped by either bots or AI. Like I said check out what was happening on 1/20 and the recent AI push and that would explain your overload on visitors. Nobody is using bots for crawling anymore and if you were on at that time (and I was) they were in all forums that doesn't have much activity so that rules out something like the site going viral or somebody directing traffic here from twitter or youtube. BTW it isn't happening just here either as larger sites than this can't handle the overload of activity
