Oh man.
Love the defensive energy from my Thunder in that first quarter, but HATE seeing Tyrese go out like that. Couldn't put any weight on his leg after forward motion that looked just like Tatum's injury earlier this playoffs. I'm almost certain he also tore his Achilles. He was lighting up OKC too, hitting three 3's early. You always want to see the best teams play with all their best players in game 7, but Tyrese isn't coming back from that.

Pacers nonetheless take the lead at halftime even with Haliburton out.
It would be absolutely shameful for the Thunder if they can't win game 7 at home with the opposition's best player out most of the game.

Big 3rd Q from the Thunder led by their patented defense forcing TOs and JDub and Chet finally stepping up. TJ McConnell remains a problem though. Can the Thunder hold on? Can never count out the Pacers until there's 0 on the clock. One more quarter to go! Can't let up!

The Thunder win but they did it in a very less than convincing fashion. But in 20 years nobody will really remember that aspect of it just that they won.
They destroyed everyone in the regular season in the tough Western Conference but they struggled mightily in the playoffs. They didn't look sharp and after how they played against the Pacers I would say the Nuggets shouldn't have been a threat either. There was some talk about how the Nuggets were like the #2 best team but I just think the Thunder played down to a lot of these teams. If the Celtics were 100% they could have easily beat the Thunder. The Pacers were actually leading at half time of Game 7 after their star player was done with a torn ACL. I know the league pushed the refs to make this series longer because it was doing abysmal in the ratings but the Thunder should have really finished them off easier. I'll chalk that up to the Thunder being ahead of schedule and the Pacers have the head coaching advantage. They were hot/lucky in the playoffs but in a more normal year this Pacers team wouldn't have been a threat to make the NBA Finals even in the weaker east.
So congrats to the Thunder but I wouldn't bet on them doing it again next year as it has been proven to be real difficult to win back to back NBA championships latelySelling all my cards here updated as of June------------> Hidden Content

Jalen Williams having wrist surgery after an injury sustained back in March:

I'm more impressed than ever now with his 40 point game in the Finals.
