Trade day - winners and losers?
I know there are 3 hours left on the clock as I right this, but who do you think won, who lost?
I think Vancouver did well in picks, but as a fan sad to lose Garland, and previously Sherwood. Hughes was never going to resign, so I think we did ok there.
Tell me, how do you like how your team did, or didn’t do?I collect Brodeur for my PC

It's friends off with Corey Perry now that he's gone back to Tampa. LOL
I am content with the Habs roster as it is right now. I don't believe we are "there just yet" when it comes to competing with the top teams. Close, but the asking prices for pieces that would put them into that category are so high. If Hughes does nothing today, I'm OK with it. I don't want them to do anything crazy like trading Hage. I know Robert Thomas is a highly attractive piece right now...but Hage could turn out to be better. Such is the risk you run.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I think the Habs should be the blueprint for how to rebuild a team. They are young, competitive, and the fans are excited about the future.
I will be curious if Calgary tries to trade their picks for prospects, or if they are just going to play the draft lottery.

Warren Foegele? Sens are DEFINITELY Contenders now!
Always looking for Senators cards! Must be a draft pick, or the card is identifiable as a Senators card before I want it!
As most of you know, I suffered a fairly severe stroke in April '25, so mail goes out anytime!

Montreal lost because they didn't acquire a real goalie.

Despite how bad Montembeault has been this year, if you look at the available market, would any of the options truly be an upgrade?

Yes the Blues are bad this year. But a 32-year old goalie putting up those stats, with one year left on his deal (Fowler waiting in the wings)...unless he channels Team Canada Binnington on a nightly basis, that's not an upgrade.

Maybe in a different system with better defence he does better. Same with any Leaf goalie as we tend to give up 35 or more shots a night.
