Montreal/Buffalo Series
Truly surprised to not see any playoff threads on this cite.
Starting this one as it is the last Canadian hope.
I am truly surprised on how the goaltending for Montreal has preformed. Was very uncertain for them going into the playoffs with such young goaltending. Maybe they Dryden us with their # 2 prospect between the pipes. Believe Fowler is the top prospect being compared to Brodeur. This ranking may change but does open up a lot of option for a Montreal team that is solid throughout the line up. Youngest team to make the playoffs/ youngest to win a game and youngest to win a series. If I have my facts right.
This all said they will be getting out of some contracts this year freeing up some cap space with a pipeline of prospects on the way up. With all the experience and maturity growth from this playoff run that could very well end in a cup final appearance or even a cup
they are well poised for the next 10 years. Think it will be a question of when and not if they get their next cup. This is a well managed team from the top down to the coach.
Buffalo in 6
Have at it

I've enjoyed the last couple days with a regular resting heart rate. LOL Here we go again!
Should be a fantastic series. Both teams had excellent regular seasons, they split the season series 2-2 and each scored 13 goals including 3 PPG. Very evenly matched. Just like Montreal and Tampa were.
It's hard not to be happy for the Sabres and their long-suffering fans; this season has been a great run for them.
But it ends next Saturday. Habs in 6.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Last game was it the awakening of the young forwards of Montreal?
Buffalo is inexperienced in the playoffs also so maybe they collapse.
Could be over quicker than i thought. Can't wait for puck drop tonight.

It was never going to be easy, but last night looked like an exercise in frustration. If a team hands you 7 power play opportunities, take advantage of them. The game hinged on that, and it cost them in the end. On to the next one, place is going to be rocking on Saturday night when the Habs hopefully have a chance to close out the series.

It's been a great series so far. Montreal on the verge of advancing to the Eastern Conference finals! Tomorrow will be a fun game to watch..

To say I'm a little enthusiastic today would be an understatement. Gonna be awesome - heading out to watch the game with a bunch of friends here, hopefully do some trading while we're at it.

It is not over yet, but Montreal is in a good position for the series win.
