    Overthinking it?

I have been wanting to send out TTM for a while, I can’t afford the prices players charge at events. So I know there are a number of players I will never get.

I have been scouring the database, and have decided to go with retired players (do current hockey player sign normally?) I have chose Cliff Ronning, Trevor Lindros, and Kirk McLean. I have a big envelope, and a small one fore SASE.

    my questions:

Do I put my note and cards in the SASE or just loose in the larger envelope?
I don’t see fees for these players should I send something anyways?
what should I write on the note?
is sending 2 cards too much?
How does one ship to the U.S and get stamps to have it returned.
Should Cards be loose, or in a semi rigid card saver, what about penny sleeves.

I have watched videos and read forum posts but either couldn’t get a clear answer, or conflicting opinions.

    Hi,

hockey players do sign. Lots of them do for free, just keep the card count low, 1-3. I send mine outside the sase. I put an index card and penny sleeve inside the sase as protection on the way back. Sometime the player will put it in the penny sleeve. I do send a note that I print out. Just something letting them know that I remember them and the way they played. The note always works as padding in the envelope. As far as stamps. I use the forever international ones. You can get them at the post office or Amazon. They are usually circular. One to and one from. Have had no issues with them.

    hope this helps.

Thank you! That clears up a lot. Now I feel like I won’t just be wasting a stamp, well maybe won’t be wasting it. :-)
