    Thanks Topps Redemptions! (Sarcasm)

hey guys, been away for a few weeks and i haven't been able to be on here as much as i'd like, so i look in the mail today and i get a mailer from topps redemptions, so i open it and instead of my 2006 Topps Turkey Red Leon Washington Auto i get:

yup a little crappy letter and a couple $1 autos of players i've never heard of and who i doubt are even in the league anymore, ahhh how i wish Topps were more like Donruss and even Upper Deck Redemption Programs who actually give you something decent if they can't come up with your card. i mean i'm not looking for a Manning/Brady/Bush auto lol, but Quentin Griffin and Gino Guidugli??? gotta love those crazy Topps redemption people! end rant.

sorry man....1/2 the reason i dont bust stuff is the whole redemption process that is pretty much inevitable these days.

thats the first time ive heard "guidugli" in a while!! dont think he's doing much these days. he started cincy on the positive incline they are currently on....was a stud in college (think he had like 48 TDs his senior year!! put up some numbers!!).

not sure if griffin is still in the league either - spent some time recently in europe and with the chiefs, but dont remember seeing him on the "hard knocks" series on HBO (chiefs training camp).

but yeah, they are scrubs these days and that is ridiculous!! did ya give topps a piece of your mind??

hey man, yea i'm thinking about cutting up the cards and sending them back to the topps :new_silly, just kidding, but i don't think i'm gonna call this time, the first time i didn't get the "guaranteed" auto in a 2006 Bowman Chrome Football hobby box and for all my trouble of going back to the card show (a 1/2 hour drive) and getting my receipt they send me a Will Blackmon auto lol. i called them and gave them a piece of my mind and all the person said was "the card is randomly drawn" and "i'm sorry but i can't do anything about it" crap. topps is by far the worst redemption program around that i've dealt with, when UD messed up they send me a Michael Vick Auto (when he wasn't in trouble lol) and a Hideki Matsui auto (booked 250). when donruss messed up they sent me decent replacements, but topps keeps screwin' me over so i'm gonna try to stay away from them, thanks!

Yeah when Topps couldnt come up with my Willie McCovey buyback auto BV $80 from Topps Archives 2001 they sent me 2 prospect autos I sold for $1 each on Ebay.

I wish I had called them and tried to get a better deal though. If I was you I would call them ASAP. They're supposed to send you something of equal value.

wow looks like we all might be getting a couple $1 cards in the future lol. i like the way UD has the code where you can call or use the computer and still have an actual hard copy receipt of sort not a scan or photo copy
