A good reason could be.... to expose the camps the government put people into in Cali when WW2 happened. Not sure, but without any research it's the only thing I could think of. Hope that helps

    bcus28--thanks for the help

We had to watch a movie called Most Honorable Son--It is about after the Pearl Harbor attack, Nebraska farmer Ben Kuroki volunteered for the U.S. Army Air COrps. He would become the first Japanese-American war hero, surviving 58 missions as an aerial gunner over Europe, North Africa and Japan. Between tours of duty he found himself at the center of controversy-a lone spokesman against the racism faced by the thousands of Japanese Americans who were sent to internment camp.

Early Asian American filmmakers made films for a number of reasons. Describe one of those reasons and show how the film reflects that reason.

Can someone please post a one sentence thesis statement for me? Thanks.

No problem, it was my pleasure.
I thought of this because of an Independent Lens documentary on PBS that I watched, called The Cats of Mirikitani. It was very moving, and everyone knows PBS has some kick-arse programming, I highly reccommend it to everyone.

How would "Most Memorable Son" relate to one of the reasons. Can you please read my post above and help me write a one sentence thesis statement? thanks.

I'm not good at that kind of stuff, I never had to write a thesis so I have no idea what would be good or not. You're on your own with that one:new_silly

Anybody who does have experience writing a thesis probably won't write one for you as it demeans the integrity of the work. Just think of something that makes sense to you and then search for facts to prove yourself wrong or right. A thesis is just a sentence or two telling the reader what you are going to be telling them in the paper. It can be as easy as "Early Asian-American made films for a number of reasons, most interesting is__________" Then blather on about why it is important, and then recap in a paragraph or two telling the reader what you just told them. Papers are opinionated. You don't need to be right. You only need to have facts that remotely support your position.

As long as you have enough facts to back it up in your paper, go for it.
