Awesome day!
I took my son to his first football game today- he's 3 1/2. We saw the Buffalo Bulls play the Ohio Bobcats. I was really excited to see how he'd liked the game, and as the week went on, he was too. I had no idea how cool the day would be.
On our way to our seats, a student event coordinator stopped us and asked if my son would like to be in the "high-five" crew. She explained that every game they select a dozen kids to high-five the players as the exit the tunnel and run onto the field. We both got to go onto the field. Before the players came out, they showed the kids on the scoreboard and they got a round of applause. They actually zoomed in on my son since he was the last kid in line. After the kids high-fived the players, we went and stood in the end zone for the national anthem.
The funny part was that all week, my son kept saying that we were going to the game so that we could go on the field and play. Who would've thought he'd actually end up on that field, even if it was only for a few minutes. Sorry for the long read, but I'm still pumped this happened!
Below is a pic of him and the players running in.

Thanks Rick.
They are college Division I- in the MAC. I'm not surprised you haven't heard of them. They've had as much success as the Bills have lately. :icon_smil

Hey Dan,
That is a mighty cool story. It isn't that often that you can get something like that to happen, especially with it being your sons first game. I bet its something that he will remember for quite some time.
