thank you for the info...unfortunately it is the player issue card...now to determine do i want it or not...i am going to contact the seller...i wonder if this is an issue paypal would cover.

my question is...did leinart sign it and if so is it more rare then the actual real card...and then whats the difference other then the fact theres no hologram sticker...curious on everyones thoughts...

unfortunately, its most likely not real sean.....from what i know about these RPA's, they are obtained BEFORE the players even have a chance to get them in their posession. i also doubt that paypal or ebay would do anything about the purchase.....really just one of those things where the buyer has to beware.....i cant tell you how many times ive contacted ebay (and had buyers contact paypal) about fake jsy patches, and nothing was done about that....so i assume this is pretty much the same thing.

sorry man, i wouldn't get your hopes up that it is real....id try and get your $$ back from the seller (will be tough unless he is the nicest seller in the world)

the seller seems workable...just replied

they are legit they say they dont come out the packs leinart signed the player issue ones and are very rare the hunt is from the packs if you dont want the leinart will void sale with a mutal sake agreement for no sale which just gives me my fees back

id take the money back immediately!! there's a 95% chance its a fake, reguardless of what he is telling you.....if he really thought it was real (and rare) he would have tried to use that selling point in the auction....the fact there was no scan of the back, and no mention of NOT having the holo is just an attempt to pass something off as real that most likely isn't....never had anyone i contacted about their patch cards being fake admit to it

i honestly dont know if BGS or PSA would even authenticate it if it was real (being that ALL topps autos require the holo)....definately not a chance id wanna take!!

glad you got a decent seller (although i dont believe a word of what he's selling, lol....been in this hobby for 22 years, and unfortunately it has always been a "shady" hobby.....the ability to sell online without the buyer seeing cards in person makes it even worse)!! good luck with it sean (and do your research BEFORE buying)!!

haha i thought i knew enough about the hobby but apparently i do need to do more research...DOH!

hopefully this process goes smoothly and it can be a lesson learned without losing money
